NHEEPA - Network of heads of European Environment Protection Agencies

 

The EPA Network is an informal grouping bringing together the directors of environment protection agencies and similar bodies across Europe. The network exchanges views and experiences on issues of common interest to organisations involved in the practical day-to-day implementation of environmental policy.

EEAC - European Environment and Sustainable Development Advisory Councils


The EEAC network is a unique collaboration between the councils set up by European governments to provide independent and scientifically based advice on the environment and sustainable development. The network is a powerful tool for sharing information and experience across Europe.

EEB - European Environment Bureau


The EEB is a federation of more than 140 environmental citizens’ organisations based in all EU Member States and most Accession Countries, as well as in a few neighbouring countries. These organisations range from local and national, to European and international. The aim of the EEB is to protect and improve the environment of Europe and to enable the citizens of Europe to play their part in achieving that goal.

 



EUROVIA (formerly CPE)


A new organisation to change the European agricultural policies as of the health check

The main aim of this organization is the struggle for other food and agricultural policies based on more legitimacy, fairness, solidarity and sustainability wich are necessary in Europe to ensure food security, food safety, public health, employment in rural areas and to tackle the issues of the global food price crisis and climate change.

We demand the development of diverse, sustainable family farming attached to the territories and the application of food sovereignty.



IFOAM - International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements


IFOAM is the worldwide umbrella organization for the organic movement, uniting more than 750 member organizations in 108 countries.
Organic trade is a rapidly growing reality all over the world. The growth rates of the organic sector demonstrate that organic products are moving from the “niche” and entering mainstream markets. The total land under certified organic production worldwide has reached over 26 Million hectares.
IFOAM is at the center of this development.



Landscape Europe

Landscape Europe is an interdisciplinary network of national research institutes with expertise in landscape assessment, planning and management at the interface of policy implementation, education and state-of-the-art science in support of sustainable landscapes.



EBONE- European Biodiversity Observation Network

 

The EU FP7 project EBONE aims to develop and implement a terrestrial biodiversity observation network that is spatially and topically prioritized and a structure for an institutional framework allowing European and world wide monitoring and projections on trends based on reliable data and key indicators. The main challenge of the EBONE project is the development of a cost effective system of biodiversity data collection.

 

 



European Community Biodiversity Clearing House Mechanism

 

The EC Biodiversity Clearing House Mechanism (EC-CHM)  has been established in order to fulfill the obligation of the European Communities being a signatory party to the Convention on Biological Diversity. The objective of the EC Biodiversity CHM is to promote technical cooperation and technology transfer within the European Union and its Member States, within the Pan European Region and the rest of the world. EC CHM is run by the EEA.
